Chandler Atkins and Joe Morris Obtain Defense Verdict in Favor of Restaurant in Premises Liability Case

In this trip-and-fall claim at a popular St. Louis County restaurant, the plaintiff attempted to persuade the jury  that her fall was the result of improperly designed stairs in the restaurant near a server station.  Plaintiff sustained multiple injuries and underwent three surgeries.  Chandler and Joe successfully argued that the plaintiff’s fall was an accident caused by her failure to keep a careful lookout rather than any negligence on the part of the restaurant.  The jury returned an 11-1 verdict in favor of the restaurant finding no liability and zero damages.
