In this slip-and-fall claim at a popular St. Louis County restaurant, the plaintiff attempted to persuade the jury that her fall was the result of poor lighting in the restaurant’s bar. Chandler successfully argued that the plaintiff’s fall was instead simply an accident caused by her failure to keep a careful lookout. After only twenty minutes of deliberation, the jury returned a unanimous verdict for the defendant restaurant.
