The MoTA Spring Safety Conference featured many hot topics and useful information. From ELD requirements to surviving DOT audits, lots of ground was covered. Jason Guerra, partner at Roberts Perryman, presented ‘Truckers on Trial’. Jason’s presentation focused on the safety director’s deposition. Three actual Safety Directors were filmed and select clips were used to illustrate both good and not-so-great responses during a deposition.
Jennifer Mason presented ‘Social Hiring: Harnessing Social Media to Find & Hire Drivers’. Jennifer went through the portfolio of social media and what works best for creating a conversation with truck drivers. She recommended what social media to use for trucking companies with little time and resources.
