Jason Guerra presented “Your Driver Has Been Involved in a Crash: Now What?” Jason discussed what policies, procedures and best practices to have in place before you are involved in a crash to avoid costly fines, penalties and lawsuits. He also covered what a driver should be prepared for when giving his statement, what to do and what not to do at the accident scene as well as preserving the scene to help determine preventability. Jason also discussed what records to retain, and for how long, as well as what you as an owner, or safety director, should be prepared for when the claimant’s attorney comes knocking.
