In attendance were over100 safety professionals, company owners, speakers and exhibitors who came to be updated on current regulatory issues, safety initiatives and information on generally what is happening in the industry.
The attendees broke out into individual sessions to brainstorm topics of their choice, such as disaster preparedness in the trucking industry, driver wellness, sleep apnea and shipper demands for tracking technology.
Ted Perryman presented on the topic of ‘Misclassification of Independent Contractors’. Always a hot topic in the trucking industry, Mr. Perryman offered the attendees a free copy of the publication he authored on this subject.
