On March 27, the Illinois Trucking Association will hold its annual “Illinois Trucking Day” at the State Capitol Building in Springfield. Trucking companies from across the state are invited to come to Springfield and meet with their legislators and discuss the importance of the trucking industry in Illinois, including issues such as license plate fees, taxes, local permit fees, and the high cost of workers’ compensation.
In addition, the ITA will also be educating lawmakers on the trucking industry. The American Trucking Associations’ “Share the Road” truck along with semis from, Double D Express, Eagle Training Services, Gully Transportation and Feeding Illinois will be on display at the Capitol Building for legislators to get up close and personal with the trucks that deliver the goods we rely upon each day.
