3/3/2023. Missouri Trucking Association held its annual Safety Conference at the Lake of the Ozarks this week and on Friday, Ted Perryman presented an update on the status of independent contractor relationships in light of recent developments in California relative to AB 5.
Ted discussed alternatives for motor carriers to avoid the harsh reality of AB 5 and the so-called ABC test now being utilized. While assuring Missouri’s motor carriers that the IC model was safe and sound in MO, we must be vigilant in protecting our IC’s from government entanglement and class action claims.
Ted remarked: “Its always an honor to be asked to speak at Missouri’s Safety Conference, it has been an annual highlight in my career to attend and be a part of this Conference.”
